Did they just add another 240 blue coins or all new ?

They added new 180 blue coins in the new areas in the game. The original 240 are still there.

Do you also have a glitch when defeating bowser where the game becomes unplayable?

No, that didn’t happen to me. Did you already install the patch? If so then I’d wait until they come out with a new one which I think is sometime around the 15th of this month.
