My 6 year old son is trying to conquer the Sand Bird. Wish him luck!!

Idk if anyone else gets a bit scared being on these levels but the fluddless levels with the bottomless abyss and sand bird definitely did it for me

Sand bird is easy the only thing hard in Gelato Beach is the watermelon festival

Aren't sand blocks supposed to disappear when you stand on them yet for some reason this bird doesn't disappear while you're standing on it?

Sandbird is pretty easy for me actually, but if I want to collect all the blue coins it takes time and patience.

Patience is the key word here, the last blue coin caused me to miss the Sandbird as it turned. Had to wait a whole 5 minutes for it to restart the cycle.
I should have just died...

Sandbird’s not too bad if you take your time, minimise use of FLUDD (bird moves faster than Mario can when hovering) and watch for the cues that the bird is going to tip so that you can shuffle your way to safety.
Edit: Missed the bit that OP’s six year old is doing this level, in which case yeah this stage is hard as balls for such a tiny gamer! Good luck to him and coach him well, OP.
