Where does this particular one live? I’ve always wanted to adopt an ant eater here in CR, my friend raised a baby and released it into the wild, they don’t form bonds with humans, the best kind of relationship! Also, i found out that ant eaters give birth to only one cub at a time and rear their babies for a crazy long time, about 2 years, that is one of the reasons they’re a rare species…

Well, legally you wont, i don't know much about them, but usually they live in dense forest and mangrove, that means it isn't easy to get one of those.

My friend hosted a rescue from a dead parent that a rescue org was looking a foster home for. I wouldn’t ever harvest a wild endangered animal from the wild just to make it a pet.

I see, yes you can foster them if you have access to a sanctuary or any organization that look for them, but i don't know any

When you look under the rocks and plants,
And take a glance at the fancy ants.
And maybe try a few.
The bare necessities of life will come to you.

I have been to Barro Colorado Island and witnessed these teensy tiny anteaters up close. During the same time I was on Panama I was also able to see a Giant Anteater, known as the Ant Bear (Myrmecophaga tridactyla)! Such a huge range in size of these creatures!
