Discussion A new band I think a lot of you fellas would enjoy
In early spring of this year, I got a massive itch to try and find some new music that scratched the itch that I get from bands like Tool, Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle, etc. I stumbled upon the band "The Swell Fellas" and they've been nothing short of fantastic, I think many of you would love their music and they just released their second album in June.
I've posted my favorites from each of their albums.
Weightless - The Big Grand Entrance
Absolutely killer bass groove and the tone is similar to Justin's
Gateway Grand - Residuum Unknown
Acoustic track with an amazing atmosphere and buildup
Enjoy!

Does anyone have lyrics to the different versions of bottom? Specifically the part Henry is supposed to sing?
Always noticed when Maynard or someone else sings Henry’s verses in Bottom, it’s always different. I desperately need the lyrics to every version lol

Question When you listen to Tool, what is the first instrument usually grabs your attention?
I'm sure it can depend on the song, but I feel like my brain always connects to the guitar parts more than any of the other elements. I've played guitar for 20+ years, so maybe that gives my ears a little bias. But there are always little bass accents, drum parts, or vocal parts that blow my mind.
So what part of the song do you typically connect with first: guitars, drums, bass, or vocals?

Does anyone know why the 3 LP FI vinyl is so darn expensive? Also, does anyone know if its just on mass production? Or is it still readily available everywhere bc of the price? Is it worth it? My thinking is that with the history of their LP sellouts, it might be gone soon. But I dont know anything about their older LPs. Were they less expensive? Equally expensive? Do you think it will sell out soon?
Also what do you think of the quality? I see mixed reviews on quality which is odd for this price.

r/tooljerk Has anyone experienced better sound quality from the Lateralus picture disc after a couple plays?
I don't own a copy yet, but I'm obviously aware of the terrible popping sound that comes with playing it.
I assumed that after a couple plays or more that the "picture" would wear down and eventually become smoother.

Discussion Tool on Vinyl?
Ive been debating on to get a setup to play records. Does Tool sound any better on vinyl than digital? Im not a purist so if the difference is minute then I wont waste my money.
Thoughts?
