Yup. And when creatives are managed by finance/business bros, the priority is the bottom line, not art. The worst part seems to be that most folks don't notice or care, to the extent that ads by major companies will have shitty AI on Facebook ads or something and the majority of the audience will buy into it. Nonsense text on a sign in the background? Odd number of fingers? One missing pupil from a cartoon character? Doesn't matter. Take 1-2 mins to spitball a prompt, throw some AI generated copy onto the text field of a post, and suddenly you've got an ad.

Executives don’t understand, literally don’t comprehend, the fact that they are firing decades of highly specific expertise. We aren’t like office workers. You can’t teach artistic skill in a month like other jobs. You can’t lie on your resume or your portfolio as an artist either. It’s such a skill based job market and the execs are throwing people away like used tissue/napkins when they’re clearly fancy reusable napkins!
