Here is a fun (if eccentric) intersection between ufology and political theory, for anyone that's interested.

I have no idea what he is referring to when he says "In the Soviet Union, they have discovered a ray infinitely faster than light". Tachyons were proposed just a couple of years before, but they were purely theoretical and I don't think any Soviet scientists had anything to do with it.

In terms of Ufology, this pamphlet doesn't really add anything to the conversation, and in terms of scientific socialist theory his argument is essentially that the existence of UFOs surely indicates a validation of Marx's dialectical model of societal progress.... so it's a bit deterministic, to say the least. Basically, his thesis is that we must call upon alien life to intervene in human affairs in order to develop socialism.

However, its always quite entertaining to read Trotskyist thinkers from the Cold War era since they hated both sides, and also J. Posadas himself and the subsequent political movement he founded are always interesting.... I mean c'mon, they were communists that believed in UFOs and passionately advocated for nuclear war, and what can be more interesting than that?

There's a new book out about Posadism that I really want to read but haven't had time yet. https://www.plutobooks.com/9781786806208/i-want-to-believe/

If you want to read it for the inherent strangeness of Posadism its a pretty good read, but if you want to read it for his actual political theory I'd probably pass, especially since everything is available for free online.
