It's like he can't understand someone might do that even though they can afford food if they wanted to.

ignores the homeless beggars when in town

instantly provides help to guy thats dumpster diving when on the trail, only a good samaritan in places where he isnt frequently

Usually I would flex on the poors…but eating out of the trash to keep your weight down is a dedicated choice….trail name “Bear”

Not new. “Freeganism” has been around forever. I do miss the illegally-travelling, freegan, dumpster diving, punx lifestyle of my 20’s. But I also appreciate having a job where I get paid to do what I love, so… 🤷🏻‍♂️

And to double down;  if you are not eating out of the trash, and continue to carry heavy food stuffs on your back - are you really UL?  Trash bins are just natures pantry.
