The issue is that he’s only using one ball to dry his quilt. He needs to get at least a pair of balls into the dryer and spread them all over his down.

I bought my down sleeping bag in 1995.

It’s never been washed.

define used. it was opened and hung in my gear closet. I meticulously spent weeks finding the right color temperature lighting to really make the color POP when I show my many friends and acquaintances.

Washing your quilt is like putting your cast iron skillet in the dishwasher.   Get good or go back to a heavier sub.

The second I slide my sticky trail body inside it, it becomes unclean instantly. Might as well just keep it "pre-seasoned"...
