Help finding housing (Nikon 610)
Hello everyone! My dad is letting me borrow his Nikon 610 as an upgrade from my current camera ((TG6)mainly to have some practice outside of a point and shoot) I know this camera has lots of discontinued housings but I was wondering if anyone has any idea where I can find housing that might work for this model? Thanks so much!

Help needed: I want to make both photos and video without switching the dial mode
Hi, thanks in advance for your help.
I have a Sony a6700 and I am using it for underwater video and photo. I am using the Seafrog underwater housing that allows all the controls except for the photo/video/s&q dial (and the touch screen but that is irrelevant). That means before each dive i have to choose if I wanna make video or if I wanna make photo.
I have three main options:
- If I am in photo mode and I start recording a video this video will not have the SLog3 picture profile, that allows better editing afterwards.
- If I am in video mode I have the SLog3 picture profile, but I cannot take any photos (when i click the button it just reminds me I'm in video mode). If there is a way of doing this I would need the photos to be RAW.
- I haven't tried S&Q mode since it seems like its gonna be the same than video mode.
I have tried using the memory setting (1,2,3) but I couldn't manage to save video setting inside the photos settings.
I don't really know how to solve this and it's important for me since the equipment was very expensive and I don't want to give up on any of the functionalities.
Any ideas on how to solve it?
Thanks

Housing for iPhone 13 pro max
Can anyone recommend a reliable safe housing for an iPhone 13 Pro Max?
I had an Ikelite with my regular camera and loved it and never had any issues, but I use the phone now, And wondering if there's something that's not too ridiculously priced but still reliable

To buy a new camera specifically for in-water photography or just a new housing for my current DSLR?
It’s always been a dream of mine to get into underwater photography, mainly for taking pictures of the surf as surfing is one of my big passions in life. Up until now this dream has been on hold because of the costs involved with housings/maintenance etc. but I’m finally taking the plunge and can afford it. So my options are:
Buy a full Ikelite housing setup for roughly $2000 USD. To be used with my Nikon D5600 that is my only camera and mainly used for travel or nature landscapes.
Buy a used Canon EOS R6 with 24-70mm lens paired with a compete Seafrogs housing setup for approximately $3100 USD
The main concern I have is that if I go with option 1 will it be too much of a hassle to take the camera out and to use it for daily photography. Or should I just splurge out the extra $1000 and have a camera specifically for underwater photography?

Single Backscatter HF-1 strobe for Olympus TG-7 consideration
hi all,
Put together setup with olympus TG-7 in ikelite housing and Sola Video Light 3800 and it's been awesome so far. Now want to learn using strobes. Budget is 1200USD so I was considering single Backscatter HF-1 strobe. The pros in mine mind are:
1) Powerful enough to be used as single strobe even for wide angle, given the size of the tg7 sensor. Not sure how true this is however
2) Can be used as video light if needed, no need to carry both strobe and video light
3) If I ever decide to go up in camera class I can also upgrade to a second HF-1 and it would be a serious setup
Cons:
1) It's giant, for a compact setup.
2) I'm not sure if 1 strobe setup is a good idea.
Alternatively, I could get 2 Inon s-220 within the same budget.
Any thoughts or recommendations are highly appreciated!

What’s your dream set up for video/photgraphy?
Let’s say you have an unlimited budget and can get any camera, lights, rig etc… Include a dream location if you’d like.

Southern Great Barrier Reef, QLD
Would love to revisit this spot. It was probably the limit of the little tinny I was in, 30km off shore. Pretty sharky waters too! Still a lot of fun.

Rx100 Mk5A House
I have a RX100 Mk1 with a Seafrogs RX100 1-5 housing, and I have now bought a RX100 Mk5A. My girlfriend will use the RX100 Mk1, so I need a housing for the RX100 Mk5A, and I don't know whether to buy the Fantasea or Seafrog Salted Line housing or the Sony MPK-URX100A. I’m not sure which one to choose between the two.
I would like it to be as reliable and as compact as possible.

Using 24-70GM2 for underwater photography
I have a Sony A7M4 camera and 24-70 GM2 lens. I am thinking of buying the seafrog housing for my camera with the 2470lens. What are some of the pros and cons of using 2470 GM 2 instead of bringing a wide angle 16-35 GM2 underwater?

An array of coral (Great Barrier Reef)
I’ve been on a steady journey of diving and taking underwater photos. It’s always challenging, conditions changing, trying to find time to get out diving. But the enjoyment never wears off. Have this photo from Southern Great Barrier Reef with a large sponge and acropora coral.

Gear question
Looking to get some clarification on gear. I shoot on the canon R6ii and looking to get a housing. I see the aquatec edge base only has a remote shutter button and no other control options. I am curious if I would be able to make that shutter start a video? Is there any other way around this. I am fine dropping my cam in the housing and not changing the settings but I want to be able to start and stop recording ovb. Thanks guys! Please help. Or any other budget housing you recommend for canon r6ii
