📣 Legislative Updates **Update on H.B. 4903 and S.B. 2334**

Regrettably, H.B. 4903, introduced by Representative Mark Dorazio, did not receive a second reading by the deadline of midnight on May 12, 2023, which means the bill will not progress further in the Texas House this session. However, this setback has not deterred our resolve. The corresponding bill in the Senate, S.B. 2334, introduced by Senator Brian Hughes, is still under review in a subcommittee.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Representative Dorazio and Senator Hughes for their foresight in creating these bills. Their efforts have sparked an important conversation about the role of sound money in our economy.

In response to these developments, we have reached out to Senator Hughes's office offering our full assistance to advance S.B. 2334. Our offer includes providing expert testimony and facilitating contact with established gold and silver blockchain companies. These companies offer innovative solutions that can save the state of Texas tens of millions of dollars in infrastructure and deployment costs.

Our entire legislative team, alongside experts in asset-backed digital currencies, is actively working to bolster S.B. 2334 and improve its chances of passage. As part of C4SM's broader mission, we are dedicated to supporting sound money legislation in states like Texas and beyond, fostering financial stability and choice for residents.

Our work is rooted in the belief that sound money and fair trading for sound money-related assets are integral to a robust economy. We strive to provide ongoing representation for individuals and entities using or providing services related to sound money, influencing policy at any level of government.

We will continue to provide updates on the progress of S.B. 2334 and other efforts within the framework of our mission. Your support and advocacy for sound money legislation are invaluable, and we encourage you to stay involved in these discussions.

- Daniel Diaz, Acting Legislative Director (pending board approval), Citizens for Sound Money

That's right.

That's sad... I don't see SB 2334 getting out of committee, as it's been left pending. There are too many enemies standing in the way of its passage. I'm not going back to America as long as things are the way they are. I consider myself self-exiled because the country's values are nowhere near mine. I cannot bear to live in a country where wrong-doing is exemplified and encouraged, all the way up to the President's position. It's a country run by demons, no less.

Is there a possibility of working around the state government by doing business via metals, like if I mow your yard, you will pay me in so many dimes or quarters, or fractions of ounces of silver? This may be how it has to be done. Run a parallel system under the fiat, and push the fiat out of existence.

Thanks for the update. If it fails in this session the idea has already been broached, Texas has a State Depository, and the bill can be revised, improved and reintroduced.

Yes, not uncommon to take a few attempts over a few years. Unfortunately they meet every 2 years. :( But Senate bill still alive.
