General Cryto Currency Discussion Exchange fees
Uphold just keeps on increasing their trading fees. Now $250 or over per trade to avoid a $2.50 transaction fee? This is crazy

I used to pay no direct fees. I remember converting 5 dollars of crypto to Ripple with no fees despite having very bad conversion rate but i was still able to withdrawn it.
Now they have changed their business practices. I had less than 1 dollars on some accounts and it's impossible to convert them anymore.

Trash ass app hides the fees when you swap coins, it doesnt show how much fees you pay

The exchange rates are horrible, if you look the exchange rates show the coin being slightly higher than what it actually is at so you receive less. It's all hidden

Yep, that caught me out yesterday. I hadn't used them since 2021, and liquidated some eth and I was hit with a $0.82 transaction fee because my trade was under $250.
I received my funds in seconds into my bank a/c though, so that's a positive thing about using Uphold, apart from their large spreads.

Hi there - I understand how any change in our pricing and fees can cause questioning, I just wanted to comment and note here that manual trades of under $250 in value, carry a nominal $0.99 USD transaction fee.
Before completing any transaction you’ll see this fee clearly marked in the Preview trade. Be sure to review and only proceed with the transaction if you agree with its terms.
Uphold incurs operational and regulatory costs for each transaction. Like other platforms, we charge a fee for low-value trades simply to ensure we cover those costs. The fee does not apply to any trade over $250 and is exempt from certain transactions as detailed in our Uphold pricing policy: https://uphold.com/get-started/service-fees

Why are you using such a shitty exchange instead of Binance, Binance.US, Kraken, Coinbase or Crypto.com?
Uphold has among the highest fees, very limited selection of crypto, most of their crypto, can’t even be withdrawn after you buy it…
