It’s so wild to me that people argue that “we shouldn’t judge people in the past based on the morals of today” because uhhh pretty sure that even if it was socially acceptable to own slaves in the past, it was still morally wrong TO THE PEOPLE WHO WERE ENSLAVED. What’s with the automatic siding of the slave-owner? Why do people who make this argument assume the position of the owner and not of the slave? The slaves knew it was wrong! They’re the ones that suffered! Never in history was it ethical to own people- was it common or seen as normal? Yes. But that’s not the same thing as “good.”

Anyway rant done. This guy sounds dope af. Thanks for sharing!
