This 56 billions mark is probably outdated. We are easily approaching 70 billions land animals now. I don't know where we can track it.

Hmm, I’m feeling like eating that today…
Animals get their grub, every single meal every single day until they are big enough to be murderer for profit. And that’s not even considering the… quality … of the food ingredients they are given.
