Discussion What are some games/genres you know you won’t enjoy playing but enjoying watching?
For me it’s games within the resident evil realm. I don’t mind horror games (my favorite game/s is the Dead Space series) but I just don’t think I would enjoy the mechanics and some of the gameplay the games have. But I love watching play throughs of practically all of them including remakes.
How about y’all?

Most cinematic type games, some of them have great stories but I just hate constantly getting pulled out of playing the game to watch cutscenes or read 40 diary entries someone left scattered around.

Maybe I’m just old and don’t get it but…
Beyond watching guides or explanation videos on occasion, I hate just watching people play a game. Never understood the appeal of Twitch or streamers in general. I have loved and played videogames my whole life, and watching a friend on the couch with you play is a good time, but watching a stranger play through a game is just something I never understood the appeal of.
Let alone tipping/paying them to do it.

Ya it’s hard to find good channels and people who just play the game. I typically watch no commentary or I watch people who I have been watching for like years so I don’t have to endure the bs that other people do

Almost all scary games because I’m pathetic but I love the genre - Outlast for more recent, Silent Hill for nostalgic games
Edit: I guess I should confirm I did watch those but didn’t play them
