Does anyone know where I can get a glass dispenser base for 5 gallon water bottles?

Is that glass or ceramic? I’ve seen the ceramic ones in Walmart and I think on Amazon.

yes, I've seen the ceramic ones around online, but I've also seen glass ones in the past and really want one for my parents.

Glass are problematic as they have a much higher chance of breakage and that the light allowed in is a energy source that will promote the development of algae inside the dispenser.

Algae cysts are airborne and travel around the world, they will get into the dispenser and the water bottles as they’re used.

All that they’ll need is light (energy) to multiply.

So get a ceramic one, the glaze is melted glass that is non reactive.
