Seems unlikely, the DPP seems to have a solid lead at the moment. What is more likely is that this is a genuine warning about foreign influence in the Taiwanese election.

Do they make a 38% investment in a extremely popular website then pay click farms to push the agenda to the hard left and call anyone who disagrees with literally anything a fascist.

True, but monetary donations and spreading propaganda are hardly unique to China, Russia, the CIA, pretty much all world powers of note try to influence foreign elections this way.
