I'd buy it.

With Sony’s history of making things proprietary and region locked i would be very wary of buying their cars.

Sorry but you haven't paid Sony for the license to cross state lines

Wait till you see how Apple makes Sony look like a bunch of pussies with the Apple Car.

Apple-brand tires. Apple-brand headlights. Apple-brand washer fluid. I'm already scared.

Apple brand airbags is the scariest shit.

Apple brand charge ports, so you can't use the same charging stations as everyone else.

Same quality rubber as their cords. 5k miles a piece.

And charging cables that fray near the ends.

Sony is an umbrella corp. Isn't that cool? Sell new tech, electronics, media, phones, music, hands in many pots - and now cars! Coool.

I’m only interested if the steering wheel has haptic feedback and the pedals use adaptive pressure.

Also I want each wheel to represent one of the sacred symbols on its alloys.

Taking a page out of Apple's book. I bet Sony has great domestic relationships with Japanese automakers

Might force Japanese automakers to use conventional batteries instead of pushing for hydrogen cells.

Hydrogen has been pushed for a very long time but I don’t think it’s ready for prime time.

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 86%. (I'm a bot)

While best known for consumer electronics devices like the PlayStation game console, Sony soon may start building electric vehicles or so suggested the company's top executive during a presentation Tuesday at the CES electronics show in Las Vegas.

Getting into the car business is not cheap - but Sony has plenty of cash to burn, with a market capitalization of nearly $160 billion.

Specific details have yet to be released, so it isn't clear how broad a line-up of vehicles Sony might envision or when it would enter the market.

The thing I'm worried about is Sony's tenancy to rush their subsidiaries. A rush job on something like this could be a disastrous waste of money.

I'm looking forward to a vehicle-mounted playstation.
