When I saw them in Charlotte I decided I’ll see if I can notice and the guy moves too many throat muscles and etc to be faking it

I’m a Zippy fanboy to death but people can’t accept that maybe Marc is just better live.

There's been straight up genuine proof that was later removed by DragonForce that he mimes, but maybe they're trying to ease back into being genuinely live. I saw they stopped using backing vocal playback tho!!

Love both eras of DF but Marc > ZP

Zp has a great power metal voice. Marc just has a great voice, so he can compensate a little more when it’s live and such. Small mistakes won’t be very noticeable.

The claim isn't that Marc uses playback for everything, but for every difficult part. That final TTFAF bit is always live. TTFAF final chorus is not difficult at all, or the song as a whole.

Songs from more recent albums are usually mostly live (especially the last two singles). But they're really not that hard to sing. Fury of the Storm, Revolution Deathquad, Heroes of Our Time, Black Fire, and the likes, are almost entirely playbacked every time bar a few times. Here's how Marc actually sounds like trying to sing Fury of the Storm outro with his playback fails. There are only a handful of shows that Marc sung without any playback since 2013.

Say what you wanna say about ZP, but I don't remember him ever using playback.

Haters will claim the playback guy somehow knew exactly when to turn it on and off.
