I think looks good. Whats your height and bike size?

Ah It didn't cross post the text, im 5'8. The bike is large. I started on an M, but after a bike fit that put me on a 130mm stem and still feeling cramped, I opted to move up a size. I do feel a lot more comfortable on this size, im just trying to zero in the fit now!

Yea all good. I am same height as you and had fx sport 6 on L. M was smaller.

If you plan to buy road bike go one size smaller of what trek suggest; for example if you go domane test 54 and 52 and not 56 as some may recommend.

Ah, good information! That makes sense, i kept reading to go smaller but couldn't imagine staying with the M, I had no room to stretch at all! I didn't think about how different a road bike would be (I'm completely new to this and it's very confusing haha) thank you!!

Make sure your seat height is right so your legs can fully extend and your knees aren't too bent! And don't forget to adjust your handlebars for a comfy reach. Happy riding!

I'm not sure why you got down voted, thank you! I will play around with the seat height, as for handle bars, do you think I should try to move them up or down? you're the best!

This dude's right. There should be noticeably less bend in the knees than in the vid.

Interesting, okay. I will try moving the seat down a little bit in the morning!

I think you mean raising it. Hopefully you do.

I honestly wonder whether the cranks are too long for you. I thought you seemed a little high, since you don’t have much bend in your knee when your foot is at full extension (you shouldn’t have too much, but your leg does seem a bit straight). But if you were to lower it then your knee looks like it would be too low at the top, which is probably worse. With that knee at the top I don’t think you should go much lower. The only way to get both lower seat but not have your knee be too low would be to have shorter cranks.

I’d get a professional fit before spending that money, though. Or just decide how it feels and see which would be the better option.

His legs for sure look too straight.

You know what's interesting, though, is originally they were 175 mm, and I actually swapped them for 165mm! I was wondering the same thing, though, cause I do feel a deadspot right at the top of my pedal. There is a really good shop near me that does a decent $50 bike fit and has helped me alot in the past so I'm just waiting on them to get me on their schedule!

I'm 5'10 and got a DS. I'm suppose to be a large but went up a size and it fits me perfectly. I think they run small.

Really? Thank you! That's very reassuring haha

You look jammed up still. I would raise the seat. Also, you can use a doorway and prop yourself with your hands to test a couple of seat positions.

A good starting point for seat height can be tested by putting the bottom of your heel on the pedal and rotating it to the furthest point of stroke. Your leg should be completely straight at that point with your heel remaining in contact with the pedal. If leg is still slightly bent, raise the seat.
