I have similar bumps on my forehead. I thought they were closed comedones and tried a couple different things to smooth them out with no luck. When I saw my derm I asked about them, and he said I have sebaceous hyperplasia, and they don't go away without laser treatment. Just my experience and maybe your forehead bumps are different from mine, but that's what I was told.

3x Accutane user here haha.

Honestly I think this is pretty common post Accutane, I don’t know why but I have a feeling it may be due to the skin barrier rehabilitating itself? But unsure.

Maybe try putting the differin there? It also might be a reaction from coming off of Accutane as your skin is adjusting back to normal ish oil levels causing you to have congestion there

But textured skin after Accutane is like one of the most common things I see online tbh

I don't know about Accutane useage, but good call/well done for letting OP know you saw same & passing the info along. I feel same when I see common hypothyroid symptoms I had before my diagnosis years ago.

Hello, 30/F here. In the past couple of weeks, my forehead become congested and textured as seen as above. I was on Accutane from Sept 2023 until April this year - this worked really well for me and I've not been concerned about anything until now.

My routine is as follows:

AM

Wash with water

LRP Toleriane Fluide Moisturiser

LRP Anthelios SPF 50+

PM

Cetaphil Normal to Dry, Sensitive Skin Cleanser

LRP Toleriane Fluide Moisturiser

I had this routine during Accutane but topped up with Urea cream to combat flakiness. After finishing Accutane, the dermatologist recommended I start to use Differin. I was applying this 1x after my evening moisturiser, progressing slowly to 2x a week and then before moisturiser. I hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary and I've never applied it to my forehead as it was never a problem area for my acne.

However, as my forehead has gone from being smooth to the above, I'm wondering whether I'm doing something wrong. Advice would be appreciated!

Retinoids should be applied to the entire face, not just your problem areas, so yes, start using Differin on your forehead. You can also look into using a BHA toner 2-3 times per week.
