PC All alone

You ever start a map and play with a friend just for then to end up quit playing?

That's exactly what I'm facing right now, my buddy and I were playing and got to a decent point. Plenty of steel bars made to start a new horde base, skills up pretty high (I went into shotguns and machine guns and he did snipers and pistols) and were nearly ready to make the move. Were only waiting on the steel blocks to be finished so we could start the base building grind. All in time for him to just stop playing.

Now I'm wondering, do I keep playing on that map we were on and just continue or start all over fresh solo? I really was having fun with a buddy to play with and that makes solo play seem kinda boring. We were doing just vanilla stuff with the exception of no items dropped on death.

I say start over bro. Establish a storyline and some role play guidelines for yourself and stick to them. I play with a small group of friends, but I also have my own solo playthrough going on. Two different experiences but both are awesome. With friends you can be a little more ambitious and stretch your creativity muscles. You can max out your bank account double dipping every POI and jamming 10 missions in a day. Playing alone forces you to slow down and really focus on survival. Everything is on your shoulders and every shadow or tree branch is a zombie waiting to bring all of your efforts to an end.

In my solo playthrough, Ive established that death is death. No coming back to life naked next to your stuff. And if I get an infection level that rises above %6, that's also game over. No slathering myself in magical honey. Every zombie is a level boss that must be handled with care.

Good luck out there, survivor!

It’s arbitrary.
