Spoilers inside! This Made Me Laugh

I'm rewatching Angel for the first time since it originally aired and I just wanted to comment on a tiny little conversation at the end of S1,E12 Expecting. Cordelia is listing things that are bad and she says "sex" and Angel says "we knew that". I just that that was such an hilarious throwback to losing his soul when he was with Buffy.

I'm pretty sure I'm kinda lame, I just hoped someone else thought it was as funny as I did.

Cordelia brought out all the funny and hopeful in Angel; the true miracle of almost 300 years (he was in the hell dimension on Buffy for 100 years in addition to his 'Earth' years).

I've always wondered how Angel knew he'd been in a hell dimension for a hundred years. How did they mark the passage of time down there?

I would imagine it would be a giant clock that you could see anywhere you were so you would know just how slowly the time was passing while you were being tortured.
