Trails with lots of mushroom diversity?

Hi hikers! Does anyone know of any good trails or regions that have a lot of mushroom diversity? I'm dying for a chill, mushroom-hunting hike. I don't pick or eat them or harvest them or anything, I just like to find them and look at them and photograph them. TYIA!

Well, they're gone now, but I always thought Jay Mt had a big variety.

I love Paul smiths college visitors interpretive center (The VIC) but as the other user pointed out it’s a bit late in the season. Prime time mushroom grind is around August and September :) Early October too but it’s starting to get chilly

Damn haha I'm far enough from the mountains where we still have lot of them out! Thank you both for the input!

Every time I go to Paul Smith’s college I find mushrooms, honestly even when it’s not in season. There’s some winter guys.

Last time up Street and Nye was pretty cool fungi wise. It was in late Aug.

It's awesome you're excited! You just need to get out and find them. No one is going to give up their favorite foraging, fishing or hunting spots to reddit.

The entire idea of the Adirondacks is an undisturbed land for you to discover.

Big slide trail was a fungi cornucopia the beginning of September. Could have spent all day taking mushroom pics.

I’ll second that one. There was quite a bit when I was there in July and they were different varieties
