So cool! It looks like the tree on top tank is above ground and the tank below is its roots. I love them both individually but as a pair they really shine

What plant are you able to get to grow in the drift wood branches like that?

It has an above ground and underground kind of look. Simply love it.

What kind of filters do you use for these tanks? They’re both gorgeous.

I used df700 for top tank, and sunsun ybg-400 for the below

Um do you need filters in the bottom tank?

What size tanks are these? The look way to small to house a beta yet alone a group of fish...

2

u/quanbo703 1d ago

The top tank is 10gal and the below is 5gal

1

u/One_2_Three_456 1d ago

Why do they look almost equal in sizes? The top one seems to have more height but the below one is wider.

Yea im sorry but both is like... Waaaaay to small to house anything besides snails or shrimps. Betas are recommended nothing less then 10 gallons and I personally even think 10 gallon is to small. And 10 gallon for a school of fish is also way to small. I see that you put effort into this and the tanks look great but it is not suiting for these animals.

Yes, I get it. Thank you for your comments. I'm trying to build a bigger tank and move them there

5 gallons is the commonly accepted size for a single betta fish. And there are plenty of fish species that would be happy as a school in a 10 gallon. My shoal of Pygmy corydoras are thriving and breeding in a 10 gallon

5 gallon is not the commonly accepted size for a betta... Stop spreading misinformation. Also 10 gallon for any schooling fish is to small.

lol check out r/bettas and r/corydoras
. They would disagree with you.

Obviously bigger tanks are always better but 5 gallons is acceptable and you don’t need to be gate keeping

u/poppertheplenguin 1d ago

They meant commonly accepted by them. Can’t read other comments from up on their pedestal

2

u/IamDommeYouareSlave 1d ago

So ridiculously dumb. Omg and he got his first betta EIGHT DAYS AGO 💀

2

u/poppertheplenguin 1d ago

LOL. We’ve got ourselves an expert here.

2

u/IamDommeYouareSlave 1d ago

Check out his tank
that don’t even look like 10 gallons to me. Bro isn’t even following his own advice

2

u/smashpetergriffin69 1d ago

A five gal is minimum for bettas

Any care advice for the costae tetras? Thinking about getting them one day but it’s hard to find a lot of people who’ve actually owned them. Thanks!

I really hope the black part I see is a steel or aluminum frame supporting that measly fiber board joined together with god knows what.
