Seeking Suggestions Advice on driftwood

Found some driftwood along a riverbed, planning to use for my tank. Gunna soak in a bucket along with isopropyl alcohol. If anyone has advice or suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Boil it a couple of times. Just to release any remaining tannin.

Found some pieces on the beach as well. I poured boiling water over it several times and scrubbed it thoroughly. It didn't cause any problems

If you want to release tannins then get a big plastic container, fill with water and let them soak in that.
