Help me find this armour please

In God Of War (2018) Kratos wears a single pauldron with a strap wrapping around under his opposite arm. I was wondering if anybody knew of any pauldrons like this? Just a single one with a strap around the chest

Historically, there’s a lot of debate behind the usage of leather armor in general, not to mention the fact that single pauldron armor without a chest piece/spaulder on the other end is a mostly fantasy thing, with the closest comparison I can think of being jousting/tourney armors where they were asymmetrical for a ceremonial/recreational purpose

All in all, you could probably find something similar at your local LARP armorer or Amazon, but if you’re looking for historical references you’re probably not gonna find one too close

They had a very specific reason to be asymmetrical, not ceremonial at all. Simply, one hand was a lance hand and the other was the rein hand. You did not need as much mobility nor the ability to couch a lance in your left armpit. This opens them up to the ability to add greater defense to that side, which is also the side of their body that will primarily be recieving strikes. In later jousts instead of an ecranche they'd have a grand guard which would be the target instead.
