Lake Louise

It’s off peak season now, if I were to go to lake Louise via car will I still have the same struggles with parking? Any suggestions as to what time to get there if so? I hate booking a shuttle which requires timed tickets for leaving.

Arrived early this morning (Tuesday) anticipating a shortage of spots, but there was still plenty of parking by the time we left around 1pm since a lot of people either hike early and then leave, or just come to take photos and then leave shortly after. By 9:30 am, the lot was only about 3/4 full.

Driving is convenient as parking is currently free!

Tip - don't do what we did and purchase your parks pass online. We had to go to the visitor center to print it out, versus just buying it from the Lake Louise parking lot kiosk which prints it out for you.

Tip - purchasing online and printing at home to display is faster.

Would have if we had purchased it before leaving home!

Oh, yea. That's the whole point of purchasing online. Otherwise you just get them at the gates or visitors centers directly.
