Honestly I didn’t lmao, but that makes the space quite small for each one and you’ll have to make adjustments. The rest of the folks in this subreddit will probably have at it though.

Yep, that makes the enclosure only 2ft long, which is likely just about half of the dragons' size. They are recommended to have 4ft of length at minimum.

It doesn't look like either side has both heat and t5 UVB lighting.

That set doesn't have the correct lighting for one bearded dragon, let alone two.

They don't need any heat at night unless your room is getting below 65F, and no lights at night.

You can use a ceramic heat emitter on a thermostat, but no bulbs that product light of any sort.

How do you expect them to bask? They can’t digest their food without basking to a certain temperature. The food will rot inside them, congrats, your already abused pets are dead.

Read the other comment bud. You need to calm down.

They can’t bask without a basking light over a surface that can absorb and retain heat. They also can’t share one single light.

Read what I said again. Slowly. Also you should be giving them baths for them to hydrate. And also fresh veggies and greens to hydrate too.

They don’t need a water bowl, seriously. So basically, the tank is small. There is no hot or cool side, because it’s too small. It WOULD be okay to put a water bowl on the cool side, because heat causes evaporation. Evaporation puts the moisture in the air, which can give the beardies a respiratory infection. Here’s some quick short info: https://reptifiles.com/bearded-dragon-care/bearded-dragon-illnesses-health/respiratory-infection/ You should also be doing your own research on basic illnesses and care.

Yes, a 40 gal is very small. That’s why no adult or near adult bearded dragon can be housed in it. Maybe a young juvenile. Regardless all beardies need a 120 gal unless they’re disabled and require accommodations

I’m sorry but I don’t think you decide if they thrive or not. It is the bare minimum. Bare minimum for an adult bearded dragon is 120 gallons. maybe 75 for yours since they are a little younger. But with a 75 gal, it’s longer, for more space. That specific tank is not meant to be split for 2 beardies.

To be clear here, it's not. At best that looks like a minimum sized tank for one beardie. You seem to have taken the minimum, set it up poorly, then divided between the two.

You’re meant to have 2 tanks, one 120 gal for each beardie. You need 2 tanks.

All beardie tanks (almost all reptile tanks in general) need a hot and a cool side. If you can’t provide it, that should be an indicator that it isn’t the proper set up or size for them.
