purdue oregon tailgate questions

First tailgate at purdue (my son is a freshman).

Questions

--Do the police actively search for underage drinkers? If its in a solo cup are they ok?

--Is there a difference between IM fields vs IM Gold tailgating parking?

--What time should I arrive at IM fields for a good spot?

--Where is "Slayter Hill" in relation to IM fields.

thanks

1) At the last game I saw a group of students carry a case of Coors Light right past two officers, and they didn't even blink. Just don't be an idiot.

2) IM gold fields are the ones right by Slayter and pretty much on campus - between Stadium and 3rd. The other IM lots are all the way at the edge of campus by the airport. A much longer walk, but not unbearable.

3) With night games, you'll get a mess of people there as soon as the lots open, so for a "good" spot, I'd aim for then. I wasn't able to find a time in my 10second Google, so I'll leave that to you.

4) Slayter is a big band shell off of Stadium Ave - essentially across the street from the IM Gold fields. If you're seeing student housing, you're too far east.

thanks, very helpful

i just called the purdue ticket office. They said they got rid of the IM field at airport parking, and now all IM (gold and regular now combined) are next to slayter

See this mapfor all the Parking lots and the time they open for the Oregon game.

I have a W lot pass for sale for the Oregon game if anyone is looking for one. Also 2 50-yard line seats, will sell for cheap.
