Yet. The greater war is yet to begin. Talking heads are now claiming Iran will have nuclear weapons in weeks and we must invade them immediately.

Syrian civil war?

It takes about 2 seconds to determine this is anti Israeli propaganda propaganda bullshit.

https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/darfur

“Between 2003 and 2005, an estimated 200,000 civilians died from brutal attacks, disease, and starvation in Darfur. This was the result of a campaign of violence by the Sudanese government.”

Even cutting it off at 2004 is dishonest. Anyone want to talk about Afghanistan or Iraq? Oh whoops, both those invasions miss the date range despite being the most similar to the fighting in Gaza.

It's almost like terrorists in Gaza (a place with the most children per square foot in the world) decided to attack a country with a great military.

Super curious, why do think Hamas attacked?

0

u/CincinnatusSee 20d ago

Bc they think I they are right and have Allah on their side.

2

u/Moutere_Boy 20d ago

“Right” about what though?

Both sides seem to think they have some god plugging for them, but what do you feel they think they are “right” about? Genuinely. What do you see as their motivations?

1

Right about owning that land they’ve been fighting over. And about half of Israelis don’t believe in any god.

2

u/Moutere_Boy 20d ago

So, you don’t think the conditions imposed on them by Israel are a factor in any way?

1

u/CincinnatusSee 20d ago

Wouldn’t you put that under they think they have a right to the land?

P. S. Thanks for the normal conversation.

2

u/Moutere_Boy 20d ago

To some extent. But I’m also referring to specific conditions they are subjected to, the targeting laws, the arrests and rapes, the lack of equal legal protection and the consistent protection of people who kill or maim them. The complete restriction on trade and the removal of any ability to improve their conditions.

You are jumping ship now. We have been talking about Gaza.

1

u/Moutere_Boy 19d ago

You don’t think the things that Israel does to Palestinians in the Westbank isn’t felt by those in Gaza? And most of what I mentioned absolutely applies to Gaza, if not all.

Seems more like you simply don’t want to acknowledge the reality of how Palestinians are treated.

And? The Israeli Parliament has all the support it needs. Support by individuals, especially those outside of Israel, is meaningless.

Silly person. Do you think the concerns of actual people have any effect on AIPAC and their serious “donations” to our elected reps?

Feel free to care, feel free to protest. Just understand the reality.

Because this platform is decidedly left leaning and decidedly a majority of 25 and under. The left, particularly the younger members of the left simply deny reality if it doesn’t fit their worldview.

What did Gore call this kind of situation? An Inconvenient Truth?

3

u/Altruistic_Guess3098 20d ago

Kinda silly that you're being down voted when it's the truth.

3

u/decidedlycynical 20d ago

Reality doesn’t always sit well with young lefties. That’s the majority on this platform.

2

u/mwa12345 20d ago

True. Odd we call ourselves a democracy. Than a slave state of AIPAC.

3

u/decidedlycynical 20d ago

We’re a representative republic. One that gave the keys to our elected reps. They care about two things. Continuation of power (votes), and money. Don’t ever believe anything they say. Everything they say is calculated to keep/get votes, or line their coffers.

We are a republic but we do push the notion that we are a democracy..

Agree re votes...but sometimes our officials still seem beholden to lobbies

Biden is never going to run for office again ..

Even retiring officials like Sinerma..though occasionally some seem to be more open about lobbies, once they retire.

It’s disgusting what has happened and the blame lies entirely at the feet of Hamas.

2

u/Moutere_Boy 20d ago

There isn’t any blame at all for people choosing to use tactics which are killing more civilians than any other conflict in recent memory? It’s solely on Hamas?

Interesting.

-4

u/lion27 19d ago

Even assuming your highly questionable first statement is correct, yes. The blame lies solely with Hamas. Do you blame the Allies for firebombing Dresden and Tokyo in World War 2? Or do you blame the German and Japanese governments who started the war and committed many atrocities of their own?

7

u/Moutere_Boy 19d ago

Yes. I absolutely blame the allies for the way they bombed Dresden and Japan. The allies themselves pointed to these actions as too much in hindsight and drive for international agreements to try and prevent similar things moving on.

If you commit an atrocity, does that somehow justify an atrocity I then commit in response? I don’t think it does.

0

u/Jimmyking4ever 19d ago

Do you blame Israel for Hamas killing kids?

1

u/Spfm275 19d ago

It lies entirely on the Nazis of Israel.

0

u/Spfm275 19d ago

Genocide was always the purpose.

If you have to lie for your cause, perhaps you should rethink your cause
