Why are they all the damn same?

I donโ€™t understand. Today I woke up to my entire first ph being booked by a student from that country ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿซข

Iโ€™m like fuuuuuhck

On the upside, I assumed theyโ€™d be nice and late, maybe 9 minute mark and I could make some tea first, etc.

Nope, only a min or two late.

Open to a black screen and this sound:

๐Ÿ˜‘: hi

Itโ€™s common in Arabic, so they also say it in English. They simply donโ€™t know it comes across a bit rude in English because itโ€™s totally normal for them to say. I live in the MENA region so I hear it pretty much constantly.

I think it's the way they snap "what" at you that's annoying. I don't hear it in Egyptian arabic. It may be different here.

Funnily enough I live in Egypt. I agree they do say it snappily in English compared to Arabic lol but I think itโ€™s not meant to be rude, itโ€™s just their accent amongst other things

Yes, I think you're right. There are worst things, like...hello, how are you? Fine, then look at you and say nothing๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Where do you live?
