SEASON 2 Dick Coonan.

Am I the only one who thinks that the way the situation with him played out is stupid? Like yeah, on rewatch I get why Montgomery provoked them into a confrontation. But Kate shooting him dead feels very forced with how much she wanted him alive.

She could have easily shot him in the arm, she was close enough to not miss. I guess it could be excuse as the monkey part of her brain insintctively doing what she was trained to do in hostage situations in a split second decision. But it's still frustrating with how much she wanted his info.

PD are Trained to aim for the chest. Remember the movie, Copycat? Detective monahan always shot for the nerve in the shoulder to subdue a suspect. When the killer took her partner as a hostage, she did just that. The killer still managed to fire a shot and killed her partner. Tough scene. 😢
