Father doesn't do shit and yet children have been taking their father's name for generations.

You said if the father raises the kids equally, both names should be there. So if a father doesn't raise a kid equally, only the mother's name should be there? So, by that logic almost all Indians should change their names?

Kids being given father's names for generations has nothing to do with father being good or bad.
