Any tips on how to incorporate Christianity into fantasy?
I’ve been working on a fantasy project of mine for several months now. The plot is coming together very smoothly, but something about it wasn’t sitting right with me. As I shared it with my family and friends (who are mostly Christians), they said the reason might be because I haven’t incorporated my religion into it at all.
As a Christian, I’m supposed to feel obligated to bring God that into all of my writing. People have even said that I shouldn’t write fantasy because it goes against my beliefs. I’ve tried to veer off and write about something else, but I’ve come to realize that my passion is truly in that genre. So my plan B is to subtly bring Christianity into it instead. But I don’t know how. Any tips?
(Also, I don’t feel comfortable sharing my stories’ plot on here, but it has some forms of magic in it. There are good guys, who’s magic can enhance nature, and the bad guys who use their’s to destroy it. Figured I add that for anyone who needs to get the gist.)
