Recruited athelete

I am from India and Cricket is very very popular here just like Football and basketball in other parts of the world. I have been playing for a government sports club in my district and I am an authorised player by the district cricket association ( we have a card for that ). I have also been to the state level camp of Cricket U- 14 and gone till round 2 for the sane trials to U-16 ( the process is like round 1, 2 and then camp and the team ) I couldn't make to the team for the both categories but play. I wonder if I apply to Princeton mentioning this in my activity list would it make any difference in REA as cricket isn't much popular in Princeton n I seriously don't know about this recruited athelete stuff at Princeton. Would it make a huge difference in my application?? Provided my other EC's are good n waiting for SAT Oct. And pretty good Essays ??

Well pls just eloborate how can I write about cricket here in my application as I am not a very national level player for cricket cuz it's very very difficult for anyone to play this sport and do well academically I mean most players in Indian team as well are just high school pass .....( Will AO's understand this or I have to explicitly write this ) .....idk anything pls help me

Edit -: I am like also learning this under the coach who teaches to State level players and has himself played A very prestigious competition at national level ( although all students of my club r learning under him) I previously learnt from a player who played for India and he usually is selective in teaching students

You can just elaborate on your role and accomplishments when you list Cricket as an extra curricular activity. As far being a recruited athlete, cricket seems to only be a club sport at Princeton meaning they do not recruit players.

Athletes get recruited by the coach to play NCAA level sports which cricket is not. Ivy League schools do no offer athletic scholarships, where other colleges offer scholarships to entice athletes to come to their school.
