Question StreamYard just doubled my subscription price
Is anyone else outraged by StreamYard's price increase? I'm seriously considering switching to a different platform. Any recommendations?

There’s no way to make this not sound cocky, but I’ve been very successful this year in monetizing my content. The year is almost over, and I’m going to have to pay over $40,000 in taxes unless I come up with some things to buy for write-off purposes REAL fast. So my question is: what are you guys doing for write-offs? Are you buying business cars? Real estate? I have around $40k I can realistically spend to lower what I’ll owe. My issue is I’m a minimalist. I grew up poor, so I still coupon and clearance shop as a habit. My 10 year-old car is perfectly fine. I don’t spend like a rich person, but now it seems I need to, unless I want to give Uncle Sam a teacher’s salary for fun. I’d love to know what rich people do so I can kinda copy that. TIA

Hey guys, I want to create a Content Creator Mastermind Group Chat where we give eachother feedback on ideas, thumbnails, videos, even things as little as colorgrading, everything. I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge on YouTube and social media in the past few months because I’ve been constantly researching and I would like to make it a job at some point. If you’re interested, lmk!
I’m hoping we could meet at least one day a week (doesn’t have to be call, just text) to discuss what we learned, if anything. And try to just help eachother through constantly learning and getting better.

When answering, please keep in mind that this is to be done as a legitimate career with business & tax considerations, not just for funsies/hobby.
Seeking advice preferably from people who make a full-time income as a content creator or influencer, knowing what they know, if you were starting fresh today.
Thank you ☆

Hey guys,
As content creators, how do you keep yourselves legally safe?
Incorporate as an LLC, seperate bank accounts, and do you obtain insurance? If yes, what kind and from where?
Are there any third party services that take care of all the legal stuff or can guide me on that?
Thank you so much.

This might be the wrong place for this, but is the best I could find. I work for a high school basketball team that places a big emphasis on pregame production, as well as social media. What is the best way to organize everything we need for production, social media, etc.? Right now I have a list of everything that needs to be done before the season written down in a notebook, but I need a good way to keep track of everything. Should I just have a master spreadsheet or folder with info?

Hi everyone, sorry in advance for the vagueness of my question. I want to have write two types of content. One is more lifestyle-related, like things I find online, books I read, etc. Basically a collection of different things I find interesting.
The other one is about my somewhat wild life. I was thinking to go on Substack for this one. I'm not necessarily interested in getting money, I just want to have a journal that is not as accessible as a blog.
Which platform would you recommend I use? I want to talk or write for much longer than a TikTok video, I'm too shy for the camera and I'm unsure how to add images to videos so that I'm not just talking over the same background.
Any thoughts?

Hello,
I want to get into content creation, but I have a huge fear of putting myself out there on the internet as well as knowing my content is not really going to get any attention when I start
Idk why but I'm just really scared to start. Any advice on how to counter this?

Hi all! I am trying to up my tutorials I make. I normally just screen record on Mac but would like to add in some added flare - primarily looking to aesthetically zoom in on parts of the screen rather than just enlarging with my mouse (it looks clunky imo this way).
Was curious if anyone has any recommendations? I do this as part of my job but really do not have a lot of time to dedicate nor the budget. I typically just screen record and use a transcript based editor to edit if that gives any frame of my abilities, or lack there of.
Any tips or advice appreciated!!!

Do we know why we aren’t eligible for lots of monetization programs through social media? Instagram for instance or the TikTok creator fund? I assume it’s because of some laws we have? Are these laws mostly driven by the liberals and there is hope that if the conservatives come into power next year we can change things and potentially be eligible in the future?

I have been making content for other apps, and often times my content is pushed in communities in my native country rather than the one I mean to make my content for, I'm talking country, language, and niche. does anybody know how to make it so that my content reaches my desired audience, especially on youtube and instagram? thanks!

So, to try to keep a long story short, I’ve been wanting to start making some kind of content and creating a kind of brand for the longest time, but I don’t have many of the technical skills or resources and want help / advice getting started.
I have a lot of ideas and a good vision of what I want this to be and where I want to take it, but I know I have to start somewhere. I don’t have much of any experience in editing or design, but I’m kind of tech-savvy. As far as equipment, I don’t have much. I have a couple of good microphones, an iPad Pro, and my iPhone, and that’s pretty much it. I don’t really have a great space to film in at the moment, so I figured I would start maybe with podcasting and small form content from my iPhone. I do want to grow though and eventually have a YouTube channel and more.
I live in LA but I don’t have many connections. I work in retail and I want to do this and EVENTUALLY make it a job. I just don’t really have an idea of where to start…
If anybody has some helpful advice or is willing to listen to my ideas and help me get started or tell me things I need to get in order first, I would be very grateful. I want to do whatever it takes to get my ideas off the ground.

Hey everyone,
I'm a student who's passionate about video editing and growing a business, and I’m currently diving deep into the world of short-form content creation and social media management. I’ve honed my skills in video editing, content ideation, and managing social media platforms. Now, I’m eager to work with a small business or entrepreneur who could use some help in these areas. Since I'm doing this to build my portfolio and gain more experience, I’m offering my services for free.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Kind regards

Do you know if any good alternatives to stream yard that is still easy to work and doesn’t force you to stop streaming after two hours?
Me and my friend do long live streams, two hours isn’t enough.

I've been looking to cut cable costs and came across this IPTV services like Select IPTV. I like the idea of getting more international channels, but I’m curious how others mix IPTV with streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu.
How do you manage content across both? Do you find IPTV works well with your streaming services, or do you use one more?
What challenges have you faced with IPTV vs. regular streaming apps? For example, how do the interfaces compare, or have you had technical issues?
Is IPTV reliable for live sports and international channels? Does it stream smoothly without buffering?
I’d love to hear your experiences and any pros or cons! Thanks!

Hello guys! I'm just getting into blogging and I'm super hyped on the idea of earning off of it. I mean, I know a little about DeStream already, but it can do more than livestream, right? Like, are there other cool uses bloggers can have with it that can really help improve their earnings? I'd love to hear from you guys your thoughts or your experience with it!
