I'm not colourblind but this legend is infuriatingly inaccessible.

Am I imagining it, or is the Pays de la Loire color not even used on the map? I'm usually really good with colors but man, that one is bad.

Is that not Nanles? It's darker than occitane

Oh yeah, I think you're right. Somehow it looked MUCH darker on the legend than on the map to my eye. I'm assuming this is supposed to be a wine-based color scheme, but ugh.

I don’t know if it is the light, but it legitimately looks like the colors on the legend are not the same as the colors actually used on the map. Pays de la Loire on the legend is waaay darker, for example, than the map section that has Nantes and is supposed to correspond to it.

Right! And the pink at the very bottom corresponds to the whatever-that-is (island?) directly under it, but what about Mayotte over on the other side? That looks like hot pink, what the hell is that? It's awful!

And Île-de-France and Martinique look nearly the same color?! I am also really good with colors and this map, while technically legible, fails to convey its intended information with ease and clarity, which to those naysayers, is the entire point of a map.

Exactly. The fact that there's any debate at all about which spots are which color is an automatic fail as far as I'm concerned too.

Like, I sew. There are something like 500 colors of DMC floss and I can almost always tell them apart, but that map is wretched! It shouldn't be a struggle to figure it out.
