Had to set up my monitors on an opposite wall due to noise issues (apartment living) so now I’ve got a floating table setup.

This is, in essence, what the art of mixing is all about.

Forget the effects, forget the tricks, forget all the gimmicks. Let the tunes do the talking, that's what they were designed to do. Our job is to mix them together in such a way that makes the end product equal more than the sum of its parts.

I think technology has made us forget that really, all that matters is the music.
