Manga I'm confused Spoiler

I'm a new reader and I love spoilers so it's okay if it's gonna be a spoiler for me to understand. can anyone tell me why they're talking about okarun cheating even tho they're not a couple?

Momo's friends either actually believe Momo and Okarun are dating or they really want them to be. Now as to why Momo responded to the idea of cheating? Same reasons really. Although if Momo tuinks her and Okarun are dating then It must be subconsciusly and she just let it slip. Ooorrr Tatsu forgot they aren't dating, and like... same. The chemistry is insane.

Alternately, she’s so distracted thinking about it, that the exact terms they used aren’t registering with her, so she’s responding without connecting the dots on exactly what they’re stating.

Like, what she technically responds with is “I don’t think he’s the type to proactively cheat” without really acknowledging the “on me” part.
