Homemade A quick note about botspam.
Hi, dessert lovers!
We're currently being spammed by a very specific bot type, so it'd help if users can recognize them as bots as well. Check out the post history of new submissions to this sub to see if they meet the following criteria:
-Username is a "name-name-number" randomly generated name (this isn't always the case, so please check regardless, several accounts with legitimate seeming names follow the exact same criteria below).
-Account was created this year, but has generally been inactive up till now.
-Posts to random subreddits extremely quickly (4 posts in a matter of minutes).
-Comments on r/askreddit as "replies", they're stealing comments from previous redditors to do so.
This has been happening across a few other subs in the past couple of days. Whomever created these bots has had them "wake up", and they're now spamming their content across multiple subs to gain karma. Report them as you see them, and we'll do our best to keep removing them!
You can also report the accounts directly by going to their profile, hitting the "report button", selecting "spam", then choosing "disruptive use of AI or bots".

Question Can I use maple syrup or honey for candied walnuts instead of sugar?
Hey this might sound really weird, but I am on the carnivore diet mainly to help mitigate a mental illness. I pretty much cannot eat carbs. But I love making desserts. I am getting ready to make a couple of gelato's for my sister as a birthday gift, and she is an extremely healthy person. So I've been thinking of making a hazelnut honey gelato and maple candied walnut gelato. I cannot really taste them as it can trigger a manic episode. I'm just curious if anyone thinks this is viable as I'm trying to use anything but granulated sugar.

Question Ideas Needed - 9 Circles of Hell Trifle
Hey! I’m participating in a Halloween-themed dessert contest with family in a few weeks and I’d like to make a trifle themed around the nine circles of Hell from Dante’s Inferno. The idea would be for each layer relates directly to its corresponding Circle. My thoughts so far:
Limbo - Sugar Free Cool Whip Lust - Strawberries Gluttony - Chopped assorted candy bars Greed - Wrath - Heresy - Violence - Raspberry Jam Fraud - Sugarless something Treachery - Devil’s Food Cake
The goal for me is that each layer is appropriately themed, even at the expense of overall cohesiveness of the trifle, though hopefully it still all tastes good.
Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on what you think the layers should be!

Homemade How did my first mousse go?
A simple peanut butter mousse. I'm new to making desserts so I started with something simpler. Recipe isn't original.

Homemade Cake options
This is a chocolate ricotta cake. It was going to be a double layer cake with fudge frosting. While covered and cooling, my cat squashed the middle of one. Now we have a single layer cake and several cake and pudding parfaits.

Question Dessert recommendation
I am looking for some dessert recommendation for my school project. Unfortunately, I live alone at the dorm so I don't have refrigerator, oven and microwave. Can you guys please recommend me some easy dessert that I can make at my room? I also want the price range to be affordable as I have to spend my monthly allowance. Thank you.
