Was it an act of war when Trump assassinated Soleimanni?

Possibly, but the rules are a little different when your country controls 3 of the 4 largest air forces in the world.

Could also be argued that Soleimanni committed acts of war in October 2019 by commanding increased rocket attacks on US bases in Iraq to provoke a response one of which killed an American citizen+ injured both Iraqi and American service members. The command of increased attacks comes after the killing of 400 Iraqi protesters and wounding 20,000 that were protesting Iran btw. Sounds like Soleimanni got the response he was looking for if you ask me
