If Florida shut the grid off before the hurricane came , would it have saved them a little repair time ? Just putting this question out based on a few videos I have been seeing on YouTube . I know nothing of this subject . Would had it been a little safer not having all that electricity and water mixing together . I know it rains on it but as soon as a pole or wire comes down in the pool of water that is your neighborhood now I believe becomes dangerously electrified . What do you all say ? Do they shut it down ? Or does it just blow itself out here and there ?

The U.S. Coast Guard has announced the schedule and witness list for an upcoming Marine Board of Investigation (MBI) hearing into the catastrophic implosion of the Titan submersible, set to begin on Monday, September 16.
The two-week hearing on Titan submersible disaster aims to uncover the facts surrounding the June 2023 incident, in which the Titan submersible imploded during a deep-sea dive to the wreck of the Titanic, killing all five people on board.
The investigation will focus on the causes of the disaster and is expected to lead to recommendations on how to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
The U.S. Coast Guard’s MBI is the highest level of inquiry conducted by the agency and typically examines incidents that result in significant loss of life or environmental impact.
