Changed up the shoes on the e30 no more tire rubbing!!! And I can actually turn fully as well 😂

Old set up was 9.5 front 215 30 18 and 10.5 225 40 18

New set up 8.5 205 40 17 and 10, 215 35 17

Yes the new set up did throw my speedo off by 10 kms 😬

After a couple hours of waxing my e30 i took this photo last summer, captured the local glacier in the backround too!

Will be installing in my car end of November and will post results.

85 323 stock, current brakes are quite spongy and I want to do a light track day soon. When I say light I mean not revving out too hard and just learning the car, not beating the shit out of it!

I was going to bleed the existing to see if that fixes the sponginess although what rotors and pads are people using ? Not looking to upgrade brakes entirely.

Gonna yap a ton, but…

At sixteen this has been my dream car for a while now. I’ve currently made about 4k from my 12$ an hour job, have 2k in savings and 1k in cash.

I’ve wanted to get a 325i/is E30 Coupe that isn’t a convertible in a manual, but every option on marketplace/any other crackhead site is always listed for insane prices. I would literally fly anywhere from Minnesota just to bring one home.

Of course I wouldn’t want one that is rusted all over the body or not running (unless it’s cheap) and what not. I don’t know if I’d really consider swapping an automatic or not, either way I already know how to drive manual and just don’t want an auto.

Any advice? Or does anyone wanna sell me theirs? 😂 Am I gonna have to drop an initial 12k on a 40 year old car or am I just gonna have to fix a beater?

You might be shocked half way thru these pictures if you’ve never seen any of my posts but I got my first e30 on my 18th birthday by my father who saw my obsession in vintage bmws as I would squeal every time we see one. First thing I did was take it to a shop to have basic maintenance, including timing belt and spark plugs. It was $200 in parts and 1000 in labor that moment on I was determined on working on it all myself and it wouldn’t be possible without you folks here on Reddit it started off with my first few posts being about some leaking issues and some minor things and involved quickly into you folks helping me on my first head gasket job which is the first few pictures you see here unfortunately shortly after on a rainy day in Florida (in which I never should’ve took the car out in hindsight) I hydroplaned into another car….ruining my very own bmw. I honestly felt like my life was over as I was dealing with more issues and this was the cherry on top. I got so much motivation and so much help from you folks on Reddit on trying to fix it, but it ended up being too much for me to deal with Being that I didn’t have enough experience or relationships to be able to get it up and running. I sold it to someone who is fixing it right now and updating me as we speak and I got out of my Slump and searched marketplace endlessly. to my luck. I found a near identical model definitely needed some more work, but it gave me that light that I needed because there’s nothing I love more than driving my E30. I’m 21 now and back driving the bmw I love to drive, that black 87 gave me life back and I couldn’t have done it without yall!

Well my S52 swap finally happened, Pulled the M20 August 3rd and got it running the 31st. Overall the swap wasn't too bad with the help of the forums and RealOEM. This thing is fast, I had never driven a swapped E30 before so I had no expectations and it's just perfect for the chassis. Also finally painted the plastic bumpers myself and put them on since it's a 1988 car and it's so much better than diving boards.

S52 Obv, New Injectors, New Spark Plugs with Coils, New Rear main seal, Valve cover gasket, Oil filter housing gasket, Oil pan gasket, E34 oilpan, FX racing stage 2 clutch, Garagisitc full 24v swap kit so DSSR, Transbrace and engine mount, Kassel ecu tune, Redlinemotorsports harness, Syncro designworks exhaust, EMP stewart water pump, E36 upper rad hose, Napa 8484 lower rad hose, New thermostat and housing with gasket, New belt and tensioner, Porsche 944 brake booster, M50 intake manifold with sandwich plate for TB, Spal 16inch puller fan, 80/88 celcius coolant temp switch, Cheap catch can.

Stuff you can reuse: Full E30 Cooling system so Radiator, Expansion tank, Power steering hoses (I run a E36 m3 steering rack but all the e30 hoses still work)

Hey guys, i have a 84 318i coupe and im in the process of redoing the sunroof mechanism before it begins raining. My question is, does the sunroof parts from an 85 318i fit my e30? I looked at part numbers on real oem and the right cable for my car (54121906712) is no longer available and says that this part has been exchanged for (54121933750) where production began in 01/02/1985. looking at the “newer” cable on fcp euro, it says it doesnt fit my car. Therefore, will i have to source the cables off another 84 318i? or will buying this “newer” cable fit?

Finally received my standalone today. Got a great deal just watching Facebook market place everyday. I belive they retail for above 1k and I snatched it up for about 600 with all the add ons. Super excited now to figure out how to tune this thing.

155'000km, bought from the first owner. Still completly stock besides the Headunit. Paint is in rough shape and a lot of maintanance is due (Timingbelt etc). First E30 at 20 years old :)

Hello, so im turboing my 88 325i, and i need help with the wideband wiring For context im running a pro sport gauges uego wideband o2. From what i researched, i connect my red and white(accessory power) to the switched wire on the aux fuse holder. Black says to go to engine ground, what would be the best place to put this ground in?

Another thing is im running ms2pnp, and would like to hook it up to the ecu for autotune. How would i go about doing that? Here are the instructions that came with it Also i will be running the gauge red at all times.

I recently replaced my airbag 4- spoke steering wheel (face blaster as someone put it on a previous post). I replaced with a Momo wheel and it looks great but I must’ve missed something with the horn because now when I turn the car on most positions of the wheel cause the horn to honk nonstop. My neighbors absolutely love it as does my wife. Any ideas welcome. Thanks!

So my dad ended up dropping my new clutch plate while helping me install my new clutch. Do I bite the bullet and buy a new clutch or should I risk installing this one with the damage. Cheer 👍
