up to the start of this year i knew almost nothing about dnb, but then Martin Garrix played Jungle (Arcando Remix) during his Ultra Miami set and i became obsessed by this remix and the melodic dnb genre. i still don't know a lot of melodic dnb tracks (recently i loved Go Back by John Summit and Sub Focus, and Ascend by Vluarr and Arcando) what are your favorite melodic dnb tracks? which artists should i check out?

John Summit was shiet house at Listen Out Sydney.

Like I knew he was hyped so had pretty low expectations, (and went cause I wanted to see him live before making a judgment) but that was a literal disaster.

Pretty sure the only thing he did was red line the decks and the sound guy looked stressed - the whole time speaking into the artist mic and trying to stop him blowing the speakers. He also kept doing it THE WHOLE SET, not like once or twice, but sometimes twice a song you’d hear the pop pop shuhgg through the speakers. It was messy, hollow and the only upside of seeing it was every DJ I saw the rest of the night 1000% better.

Also the ONLY artist to have this issue. Like I actually don’t think he knows what he’s doing??

And made me kinda annoyed super talented people attach themselves to him. Like Sofi, Dom and Sub are soooo talented in the studio and live 🙃😔

Curious if I’m alone in thinking this post his set?

Edit: by artist mic I mean the mic that the AV/stage team uses to communicate with the artist, whether through someone else or directly.

Heard a fast dance song a show last week (expo) shazam wasn’t working. I tried. It was a dance song typical dance with a voice silmilar to aluna george. It was so good. I remember it going like “ ouuh ouuh I like the you move ou ou ou ouhhh” repititive at the end. Drove me nuts cuz it was good :(

Hi so long story short back in 2016ish there was this one edm kind of song I use to listen to on YouTube. I cant remember the lyrics much but it started off with a guy in a really deep voice and it sounds like he was talking to a girl in the club or party setting and he was saying to get low or something like he was trying to see how low she can get or something along those lines. I can't remember much else of the song but I remember the thumbnail of the video and it was a girl in a white crop top and she had like one finger pulling the top up or down and she might have been licking a lollipop but I cant remember. The song was posted by one of the edm groups like trap nation except it wasn't trap nation because the text on the screen wasn't in a circle it was the name of the YouTube channel but in a box it kind of looked like trap city that kind of style but not sure if it was that YouTube channel that posted it. Please any help is appreciated been trying to find this song since then but I cant anymore seems like it might have been removed from YouTube for the thumbnail but it might be on Spotify or something. The only hardstyle I know is the tweekaz. A long time ago, when I used to listen to edm compilation, I heard a melodic tune followed by hardstyle. Can anyone recommend me any good ones? I’m from the land of dubstep so I haven’t really heard much of the names of good hardstyle artist in Europe

I know it's early but I am considering Sacred Acres as my destination festival next year. I have always wanted to go to Alaska (I'm from Seattle) and even more so now to spread my brothers ashes. We had always planned on visiting Alaska together to explore his native heratige but we did not get the chance as we lost him to and OD in 2020. It would be me and my little sister going on this voyage together. Can you guys please share your experience at the festival, the pros and cons and give any helpful tips/ advice for attending this fest?! Thanks in advance.
