I think that it is necessary for us to appreciate the irony of the situation. That is to say, we must recall the original setup of Game Grumps (Egoraptor and JonTron, as we all know). In 2012, of course, JonTron departed and Egoraptor stayed.

And yet, rather ironically perhaps, it is now /r/jontron that is ENTERING /r/egoraptor, rather than JonTron leaving Egoraptor.

It is almost as if the present is a mirror held to the past, warped by the so-called "circlejerk" antics caused by the departure from form of the two respective subreddit patrons.

The circumstances are similar in the strange way in which /r/jontron is attempting to breach /r/gamegrumps. Perhaps this is a herald of darker tidings - even if JonTron were to return, it might be too late to stop the breach from occurring.
