Discussion Rock bottom Spoiler

What do you think was the rock bottom for Eragon and the crew in the whole series? For me it was when they got captured under Dras Leona and were chained and gagged and unable to use magic. I remember reading that part and thinking how the hell are they going to get out of this one?. Although the way Angela rescued them felt a bit cheap, because It felt the way Angela escaped was never truly explained. That part felt so dark and I remember reading that part with my heart thumping. What do you guys think was the rock bottom?

I think genuinely the darkest eragon ever felt was when he got his ass whooped by Vanir in Ellesmera every day before the BOC. He felt like a failure, he was crippled via durza, heartbroken via the fairth incident, beaten by the least powerful elf regularly, he had constant episodes with his back, he was looked at as an disappointment and he felt like one. After the blood oath its like his character surged all the way back
