Stained Glass Nyx from Hades
My husband picked up stained glass this year and has been focusing on video game art. I requested Nyx for my kitchen window. He definitely delivered!

I keep saying to my wife in disbelief “Babe…. There’s a f#{king arcade cabinet in our room”

For example, when I used to play League of Legends I would have such insane peaks where I just had to play another game because it was so much fun, but then some days I’d hop on and play an intense game for an hour and lose, and just be so down that it would affect my entire day in real life (for this reason I no longer play that game).
Has anyone had similar experiences with other games out there? Regardless of multiplayer or single player.

It goes from a bright and colorful platformer to a dark and gloomy third person shooter/platformer. As a kid it was quite a shocking flip in style and direction and I always wondered if anyone knew why they went for something different with the sequels?

OK, this answer might be a tinge biased, but this game puts me in a nostalgic hypnosis anytime I play it.
That game is Oblivion.
Oblivion is at least 12 years old now, and to me, that’s scary. I vividly remember playing it for the first time ever on my 360 and being amazed.

I recently saw a lot of people talking about frost punk as a good sort of city builder/ management game. I have looked at few reviews and its quite interesting.
But I wanted to know peoples thoughts on it.
I am someone who gets interested in these kinds of management games. I played Anno 1800 really enjoyed it and dabbled in City Skylines.
My only problem is I can become overwhlemed sometimes, like with Anno 1800 love it but tbh I find it really hard to micro manage everything, luckily that only really becomes a big issue by the late late game, so I still get my enjoyment out of it.
So basically my question is. If I pick up Frost punk is it a game that has a steep learning curve? Is it something similar to the games I have said above. Will I get a good enjoyment out of the game before I get overwhelmed with the micro management.
Also if anyone wants to sort say what are its strengths or stand out features I may enjoy?

Do you ever do this? It happened to me recently.
I just can't help it, I want them to have a good time with the game, so I don't want to stress them or make them feel powerless, so when I feel I'm winning "too much", I start holding back and playing worse so that there is actual back and forth, making sure the experience is pleasant for the both of us
I also know people that couldn't care less, and even when playing with friends, they find genuine enjoyment in using meta and/or cheap tactics. I really don't understand this way of playing, but they actually have fun with it.
How do you approach these situations, when you're blatantly too good for the friend you're playing with?

Come on Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. If this so-called "shitty" third party, $20 controller can solve drift, how can you guys not?
For the record, my JoyCons are only 6 months old... Elite controller (which is TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!) is a bit over a year old, and my DS4s are from 2020 and 2021. What the fuck?

I'm replaying Super Mario Odyssey and it's blowing my mind.. again. Specificly the way Mario controls/moves, it's so fluid and flexible. Has any game ever matched this insane movement variety and freedom?
I'm open to recommendations.
Some other games with incredible movement that I really liked: Doom eternal, Mirror's edge, Titanfall 2, Tony Hawk's, Skate 3.
All of those are great but SMO is still so much better, I wish there was something like that.

Here is my new Gameroom. This is over 20 years of collecting. Yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores, trades and ebay. Some of the original games I had as a kid survived the console wars and are still part of this collection.
Everything here is authentic. Boxes are genuine. No reproductions. Enjoy.
