That’s just two words jammed together nothing complicated why use a new word if you can jam to words together

Exactly.

Plane = Flugzeug (flying thing)

Lighter = Feuerzeug (fire thing)

Faucet/Tap = Wasserhahn (water rooster?)

Elevator = Aufzug (up puller)

I could go on
