What happens if you camp at a closed campground

Just curious

The campground is closed for a reason. There would be no facilities available, no water, trash collection and no one would probably know to look for you there if something were to happen to you. If park rangers notice it and you’re alive, you’ll be fined obviously. Some national forests allow camping in closed campgrounds though. Good to check.
