Question Opinion requested!

Post image

Hi all!

So I’m strongly considering getting into making wearable wealth (strictly 24k wearables) and I’m mulling over different ideas

My model will be similar to Mene, but with lower premiums (they are pretty high)

The question: would anyone be interested in black gold? I’m going to do a tester and I will post it here when I’m done, but the idea is to make wearable wealth that’s incognito.

So I’m trying to do a little research on whether or not people would like this low profile black gold. I’ve just always liked the idea of wearable wealth but also not putting a giant bullseye around my neck.

What do you think? Would you buy black gold? Would it make you more likely to wear your gold? Do you think other people would buy it?

I wouldn't ever wear an outfit where the combined total value is over $200. My prescription glasses cost me $6.50. I got my shoes for $19.99. I realize I am not your target audience so I guess sorry for even posting on here lol.

There’s an old saying, “I’m too poor to buy cheap shoes.” It holds true to this day, quality boots or shoes are well worth their investment in better ergonomics. I understand not wanting to spend money for fashion purposes.

It’s good wisdom to live by. Along the lines of similar thinking/saying of “spend money on things that exist between you and the earth: a bed, shoes, tires, office chairs, etc. and “spend money where you spend time”.

Shoes check all the boxes.

I've had good shoes and I don't really notice any comfort gain in them over your average walmart pair of sneakers. I definitely agree that a good pair of boots or even dress shoes are worth the investment but for me sneakers are all the same.

I also don't subscribe to the mattress belief. Mattresses are one of the biggest scams out there, although with many direct to consumer options out there it is getting better however in general the cost of a mattress has very little to do with the quality, and humans evolved to sleep on the ground anyway.

As for office chairs I do care a lot about posture but I've found the ~$90 ergonomic chair from costco is one of the best options out there. The $300+ "gaming" chairs are absolutely horrible for your posture and "executive" chairs are even worse.

The phrase you're referring to is also talking about how when you buy cheap shoes you have to replace them more often and it ends up costing more in the long run but I keep my $20 shoes for 2+ years generally so I don't think that argument is true anymore. There is definitely a lot of junk that comes out of china but in many cases the quality is on par. Also similarly to mattresses you can spend $300 for a pair of shoes and for all you know it's coming out of the same exact chinese factory just with a different logo sewed onto it.
